About

A bit about me...

I can remember the day when the moving men came to my house when I was five years old. They carefully rolled a giant dark brown upright piano down a ramp into the sunk-in living room. My grandma had recently moved and gave us her 1868 JC Fischer. If it had always been there since I was born, I might not have noticed it or played it. As it rather seemed to crash its way into my world, I was drawn to it. I went over and put my little hands on the decaying ivory, started to play, and something changed in me.

I grew up in the suburbs of Vancouver, Washington, next to Portland Oregon. Music has been the focus of my life ever since I started playing the piano at age 5 and shortly after the drums.

After a busy adolescence playing in a number of bands, I majored in music at Central Washington University where I focused on music composition and drum set/percussion performance. After touring with my heavy metal band twice in Japan during college, I decided to move to Tokyo, where I taught music, played freelance, worked in marketing for Kajimoto Music, organized events, also worked as a corporate trainer and manager for the largest educational firm in Japan while starting a family.

In 2018 I moved back to Washington state where I began my career in tech sales and account management while also continuing my marketing work for Kajimoto Music. From then to now has been a period of intense growth and education while I’ve also continued to compose and release new music.

I’m always interested in networking and exploring new projects. Feel free to reach out.
